CFR-A1 Gasoline Octane Rating Engine

Introduction

The CFR-A1 Gasoline Octane Rating Engine is suitable for the octane rating determination of motor gasoline and spark-ignition aviation gasoline (including Motor Method and Research Method). Its test range is 40~120 O.N. Integrated with multiple patented technologies, it delivers superior operating experience and accurate, reliable measurement results for users.

Applicable Standards: GB/T 5487, ASTM D2699, IP 237, EN ISO 5164; GB/T 503, ASTM D2700, IP 236, EN ISO 5163

Features

  • CFR standard cast iron monolithic cooling jacket; the cylinder and cylinder head are integrally cast.
  • CFR standard crankcase equipped with five gears and dual balance modules. The engine is right-mounted with a front-mounted barring system.
  • The design, manufacturing and inspection of major mechanical components including integrated cylinder, holder, piston and carburetor assembly strictly comply with relevant standards.
  • Dual-purpose for two test methods. Equipped with a combined pulley and brand-new mixing heater, it enables fast switching between Motor Method and Research Method.
  • Built-in correlation curve between octane number and compression ratio for simple and accurate tests.
  • It can automatically display various operating parameters in real time, such as ignition angle, lubricating oil temperature, intake air temperature, mixture temperature, compression ratio, cooling water temperature and rotating speed, with abnormal alarm function.
  • Adopts precision laser displacement sensor for non-delay adjustment and precise positioning of cylinder height, together with limit safety protection function.
  • Built-in automatic atmospheric pressure compensation module to perform pressure compensation during tests.
  • Dynamic liquid level searching function simplifies the adjustment of maximum knock signal.
  • Automatic compression ratio adjustment with limit safety protection.
  • The vertical fuel nozzle and the fourth oil cup are fitted with a refrigeration function, enabling tests for light-component oil products.
  • It adopts a horizontal programmed falling-level four-cup carburetor equipped with four independent horizontal nozzles and one vertical nozzle, which achieves precise control of the fuel-air ratio.
  • The high-power dual-cycle air conditioner (ice tower) fully meets the intake air supply requirements of large-bore test engines.
  • Equipped with a high-power chilled water circulator, it features a water tank capacity of ≥60 L, working water pressure of 0.2~0.4 MPa, and operating water temperature ranging from 15℃ to 25℃.
  • Fitted with a high-precision knock sensor with millisecond-level response, the unit works with a fully automatic digital knock meter to automatically record test data and output calculation results.
  • Dual-stage lubricating oil filtration and oil cooling functions ensure long-term stable and continuous operation of the equipment.
  • Standard-equipped with an oil preheating function to effectively shorten the equipment warm-up time.
  • The instrument supports automatic test data acquisition and large-capacity data storage.
  • It automatically records the instrument’s operating hours and outputs maintenance reminders in accordance with standard equipment maintenance specifications.
  •    Cumulative power-on time and test running time can be fully recorded.
