1. Measurement principle


The radar level meter antenna emits extremely narrow microwave pulses, which propagate in space at the speed of light. When it hits the surface of the measured medium, part of its energy is reflected back and received by the same antenna. The time interval between the transmitted pulse and the received pulse is proportional to the distance from the antenna to the surface of the measured medium. The HBRD80X series radar level meter uses a special correlation demodulation technology to accurately identify the time interval between the transmitted pulse and the received pulse, thereby further calculating the distance from the antenna to the surface of the measured medium.
Even in the case of complex working conditions and the presence of false echoes, the latest microprocessing technology and debugging software can accurately analyze the echo of the level and obtain accurate measurement results.

The antenna receives the reflected microwave pulse and transmits it to the electronic circuit. The microprocessor processes the signal and identifies the echo generated by the micropulse on the surface of the material. The correct echo signal recognition is completed by the pulse software with an accuracy of millimeters. The distance D from the material surface is proportional to the time travel T of the pulse: D=CxT/2, where C is the speed of light. Since the distance E of the empty tank is known, the level L is: L=E-D. It is set by entering the empty tank height E (=zero point), the full tank height F (=full scale) and some application parameters. The application parameters will automatically adapt the instrument to the measurement environment. Corresponding to 4-20mA output.
Applications

1. Measurement principle
TDL-1X series sensors are 26G high-frequency radar level measuring instruments with a maximum measuring distance of 80 meters. The antenna has been further optimized, and the new fast microprocessor can perform higher-speed signal analysis and processing, making the instrument suitable for: very complex measurement conditions in reactors or solid silos
Principle
The radar level antenna emits a narrow microwave pulse, which is transmitted downward through the antenna. The microwave contacts the surface of the measured medium and is reflected back. It is received by the antenna system again and transmitted to the electronic circuit part to automatically convert it into a level signal (because the microwave propagation speed is extremely fast, the time taken for the electromagnetic wave to reach the target and return to the receiver after reflection is almost instantaneous).

1. Measurement principle
The general principle of the FMCW radar level meter is that the radar emits electromagnetic waves on the tank top, and the electromagnetic waves are received by the radar after being reflected by the medium. The frequency difference 8r between the received signal and the transmitted signal is proportional to the distance R from the medium surface: R-C (speed) * δf (frequency difference) / 2 / K (frequency modulation slope). Because the speed of light C and the frequency modulation slope K are known, the frequency difference 8f is estimated, and the distance R from the material surface at the radar installation position can be obtained. Then, the known total height of the tank is subtracted from the spatial distance from the radar to the material surface (referred to as the empty height) to obtain the height of the material level.
Features:
